Editorial Policy

This page explains how Lestta researches, writes and updates its articles, so you know what to expect from everything we publish.

Sources we rely on

  • Nutrition data: protein, calories and other nutrient values are calculated from the USDA FoodData Central database, using per-100 g values and the serving sizes we state in each article.
  • Food safety: storage times and handling advice come from official guidance such as FoodSafety.gov and the USDA.
  • Trends and news: when we write about a food trend, we link the original reporting we used.

Every article ends with a Sources section. We don’t publish statistics, studies or quotes we can’t link to.

How articles are written

We use AI tools to help with research and drafting. Every number is checked against the source it came from before publishing, and articles are written to be practical: real serving sizes, realistic prep times and honest opinions about what’s worth making.

Not medical advice

Lestta publishes general information about food and cooking. We don’t diagnose, treat or give advice about medical conditions, supplements or medications. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian about your own health needs.

Updates and corrections

We review older articles and update or remove ones that are outdated or no longer meet these standards. If you find an error, please tell us through our contact page and we will correct it.

Advertising and independence

Lestta is supported by display advertising. Advertisers don’t review, approve or influence our articles, and we clearly label any sponsored content.
