A personal trainer is now as common as a pair of good cross trainers and a water bottle especially these days while going to the gym is not possible because of COVID-19. But unlike your hairdresser, your trainer doesn’t need to be certified. Anyone with little more than a great shape with no experience can print business cards, call themselves a personal trainer, and take your money. So if you’re looking for a personal trainer, Here are six questions to ask the trainer before hiring them.
1. Can I have references?
This is the simplest way to get a truthful piece of information. A potential trainer should be more than happy to give you a list of at least three clients you can contact. Ask them how they accomplished their goals, how the trainer helped them do so, and what they enjoyed most about the trainer. If the trainer refuses to give references or behaves as if it were huge trouble, look elsewhere.
