2. Caffeine Intake
Caffeine is present in many soft drinks, not just in tea and coffee and it can set up its vicious cycle. It can speed up heart rate and disrupt sleep, which later on becomes the prevailing signs of anxiety. Trying to overcome tiredness by drinking more caffeine only makes the long-term problem worse. Avoid or limit caffeine intake as much as possible.
It’s best for people with anxiety to avoid coffee, not because caffeine causes anxiety, but because it can worsen symptoms. However, if you like to indulge keep it to a daily minimum. Everyone has a unique physiology, so don’t forget to ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
